Griefers in BIG ships

The stupidity of this, is just so funny.
I mean come on a player who cant get around this is gonna go win the elite competition?

its was not an npc but i cant prove it on here with retribution from the mods

u see he had around 9 mins to dock and you have 5 mins to leave so hes got a 4 mins window where he can get u killed by the station he didnt get me killed i managed to get past him

Without switching to solo do the following:
- Save&Exit
- Log back in
- Have fun since you are now out of the station ;)

You are excluded from the Elite competition if you play solo.
Maybe griefers are doing things like this, then moaning that ppl should play in solo, to reduce the competition.

if thats a problem for you: maybe the elite competition isn't for you and you should play solo.

Besides, how are these so called griefers going to win by spending all their time blocking starports??? It doesnt make sense.

There's a trick that might work :

When intentionally blocked by such a guy, deploy Hardpoints and run a Kill-Warrant Scan ;)
The Station doesn't mind the Hardpoints and does not register "firing" the Kill-Warrant Scanner at anybody.

Also, when doing this on NPCs (even clean ones) - they'll go havoc and abandon their normal procedure.
Any NPC inside the Station trying to take off (normally patiently waiting if the Station entry is blocked) will accelerate and maneuver in panic - as if you were firing an actual weapon on him (again, outside of that behaviour has no consequences).

It's quite possible to have NPCs ram those "blockers" at full throttle, while they run in "panic attack" mode *g*

Should there be Clean NPCs approaching, those sometimes (if fighter-type) attack Wanted Players all on their own, just in case there are no Station Patrols for some reason. If Station Patrols are there, the blocker will instantly get attacked after your scan if he's got a bounty from another faction that a Station's Patrol possibly does not detect due to being another jurisdiction.

I'm so going to try this - this sounds like a fun thing to do every time I undock (as I play private it wont bother anyone else) and cause tons of havoc :D

Not helpful. If it's CMDRs trying to explot a game mechanic in order to grief then the answer is not to further penalise the griefed. However, I appreciate that the temptation to post a well crafted smug post is often too difficult to pass up.

Gut feeling is that I only ever see this with NPCs so wonder if the OP isn't aware.

how are the "griefed" being penalised????

The fact is: this game has ZERO griefing. One of the best features of this game is that it allows people who complain about griefing to CHOOSE not to be griefed. If you choose to not make that choice and you encounter another player: you are not being griefed because you CHOSE TO BE THERE WITH THAT PLAYER!

These people need to stop moaning and PLAY SOLO.

Playing solo stops you being eligible for the elite competition... Wish ppl would remember this.

im taking screen shots of all the griefers in big ships that block the exit because u get 8 mins plus to dock and 5 mins to exit either they make the times the same or i will start a website totally concerned with naming and shaming these people the moderators might be able to prevent me doing it here but they cant stop me doing it elsewhere

Could be worse, I remember a game called Soldier of fortune double helix. The multiplayer maps were always procedurally generated so no one really knew what to expect but sometimes…

Sometimes all the spawn areas were inside and they always had one door. There was something very pleasurable in blocking the doorway, Changing my name to Blocking (naughty word) and then watch the heroics ensue in side as people stabbed me, shot me and threw grenades at me, only to end up killing themselves and spawning back in the room because friendly fire was off.

At one time, I turned around to find the enemy team lined up and looking at me – I had single handily managed to lock my whole team in a room at which point and I change my name to “the doorman”… Much lol, great laughter – then headshotted because there is always one troll on the enemy team (of course)

If people can find a way to be annoying and there are no penalties then you can be sure they will be annoying. When I was mining (the hell of hells), I used to look over at the little sidewinder doing similar and think about doing some horrible things to him just for the joy of having my parentage called into question in text because I was so bored with mining and wanted to tear the wings of an insect to make up for it.

If you are not prepared to have your gooch kicked simply because someone can then stick to solo
