Griefing by NPCs!!!

Last night, as i was cruising to chango, i came across a signal source.

Being the inquisative sort, i stopped to check it out.

Imagine my surprise when i discovered about 40tons of GOLD canisters just floating in deep space!

I immediatly set about collecting 4 of them to sell on the black market at freeport...

Just as i was scooping the 4th... Three eagles jump in and immediatly open fire. I am spaced before i can even hit the boost button or divert power to shields.

As my escape pod kicks in, i hear there merciless taunts over the comms...

The moral of this story?

Beware the NPCs... They Gank like pros!
(Also... An additional moral may be... Nicking from somone elses secret stash of gold... Is likely to cause offence, so be quick about it! )

:p

"It's a trap!"

Someone will be along with a captioned picture of Akbar in a moment.

Not wishing to start an argument on the matter, but it isn't ganking when the NPCs do it ;)

Cheeky sods :-D Seems the NPC's have 'had a bit of mongrel put in them' with Beta, which isn't such a bad thing. In some ways, encounters with many of them prior to Beta could be a bit 'ho hum' (neither here nor there; no aggression, no 'smarts' or really easy to run away). I think this sort of thing just makes things a little more interesting.

I think the OP was saying 'ganking' with tongue firmly planted in cheek ;-)

Oh it was definatly a "gank"

(The origional connotation from early mmos is "gang kill" usually against a lone player)

That said, i did laught out loud as i died. I guess it served me right for trying to steal from a pirate stash :)

I will have my revenge, i tell you!

Exactly the same happened to me 2 days ago. I was spaced in like 5 seconds, not even enought time to react, i think it needs some more sturdy ship than basic sidewinder.

Better than what happened to me....Heading into Chango I believe, jumped by not 1, not 2, BUT FOUR Pirate Sidewinders. Opened up on me soooo fast with lasers AND MISSILES! And all I have was a standard sidewinder!

Damn NPC pirates!

And to think... I seem to recall someone saying that PVE opponents were boring and routine.

This is the perfect example of a Gank and not a Grieve.

Just goes to show you, keep walking past that 100 quid on the sidewalk. It's not a trap.... It's BAIT!
