Community Event / Creation Grim Reaper: An ANIMATED Elite Dangerous fan-film

That's really cool. [up]

Only criticism I have is the voice audio is really quiet for me, to a level that it's really hard to tell what's being said.

Very good!
I've been thinking lately if there would be an ED movie what style it should follow, maybe a fusion between aliens/bladerunner environment/architecture clothing and the new starwars syles.

Yeah, this was the first project of mine to actually have voice acting[haha] in it so this was all new ground to me. I did all my audio balancing with headphones on and the volume cranked, but didn't bother to do a proper check with speakers; and, since my audio cleaning skills are...[where is it] okay, I don't have audio cleaning skills, the end result could have been better.

A short story of an Imperial Agent.
I teased this a few months back and... I'm honestly a bit suprised I got it out this quickly, but here it is. I hope you enjoy it.

Very well done. What software are you using for your figures? I use Poser 11.
The eyes could do with a little more detail. The irises should dilate and constrict to show emotion.

The superstition of the models into Elite is excellent.

Not only that the video falls foul of FD's ToS. There is no mention of Frontier's copyright. Not that I think FD would do anything about this.

The models were built using Autodesk Character Generator, animated using HumanIK (A decision I really will have to reconsider for the next project) in Maya, and then composited in After Effects.
The models are... fine, they have some oddities in the textures but that's something I can fix in Mudbox or Photoshop. The eyes are dumb because, aside from being static meshes, they have baked-in reflections and by the time I realized that I was already doing all the VFX.

For those of you who are interested, I've made a before and after side by side shot comparsion. It's not a VFX breakdown or tutorial but it's there if you want to just look and go, "Oh, that's what it looked like before he threw all the shiny stuff over it."
