Grind Mortgage: Paid in full.

Well, that's it.

I've reached "King" in the Imperial navy and "Admiral" for the Fed's.
No more farming data-delivery missions and searching the boards at every station for donation missions.
I get to (mostly) do whatever I want, keep all the credits I earn, and spend 'em on whatever I want.

Until ED comes out with Super King and Ultimate Admiral!!!

No chance.

Now I begin to implement phase 2 of my plan for galactic conquest.

I have this plan which involves a gigantic spherical space-station with a whupass laser attached.

I like the cut of your Jib and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Congratz Commander o7 I did my fair share of grinding with the planetary scan missions for the Empire- not that boring as I thought it would be :D

Alas, no.

You'd think a rank like "king" would at least get you reserved parking at Imperial stations or something, right?

Also, I notice the Imperial Agent ship pilots are still just as smarmy and condescending as ever.
You'd think they might have a bit more respect. [sour]

Wouldn't kill them to prefix your rank on comms channel, and even in front of the welcome messages in stations etc - obviously pertinent to Fed or Imp ranking!

No assumptions were required. You said yourself, "No more farming data-delivery missions and searching the boards at every station for donation missions. I get to (mostly) do whatever I want, keep all the credits I earn, and spend 'em on whatever I want.".

Grinding crappy donation missions and farming data deliveries are just totally rubbish ways of getting what you want so badly. FD should be embarrassed this is all it takes and players need to look at their incessant need to to succumb to this type of pee poor gameplay.

You are right! [yesnod]

Hail to the king?

Kill the king. :D

Congratulations! I don't know how you did it, but I can't do it.

Perhaps it's about time rank decay was introduced. There's suspiciously not enough caring about rank grinding anymore lately.

See, I wouldn't mind if that was how it worked.

Don't make it too dramatic but set it up so that when you do stuff for one superpower you start to lose rank with the others.
Ideally, FDev could set it up so that you could get about, say 75% of the way with all the SPs via careful mission selection but the last 25% would place you in conflict with the other two.
That way, you'd need to do Imp' stuff for a few weeks before you could buy a new Cutter, then you'd have to go and do Fed' stuff for a few weeks if you wanted a Corvette.

Speaking of which, I think I'm going to buy a new Cutter, just to see if I can build an "indestructible" CZ farmer.

I had hoped there would be some value to it. Like flying into in-jurisdiction stations and hearing “welcome your highness.” Or “admiral on board” etc.

But nope... nada.

Go me! :D

S'funny, I've been playing tonight and I still find myself scouring the mission boards and as soon as I see a donation mission I'm already checking that it's for a suitable faction and the mouse cursor is hovering over the "accept mission" button and then I have to consciously remind myself that I don't need to do that any more.

Freedom!!!

no chance pal. you will have freedom /boredom for some 4 days.

after that you start the next grind, maybe engineer unlocking, material collection, community goals, money, Powerplay, unlocking guardian stuff,

the grind is everywhere. but we like it.
