Proposal Discussion Ground combat

Hi Commanders,

If this has been discussed before I apologize as I could not find it using the search function.

Ground combat on planets? is this a planned feature in ED? I could imagine that this would add a ton of fun to the game. The possibilities regarding logistics, how to get all the materials to the LZ, and ongoing war between fractions like we see in ArmA or maybe other FPS? I know that it will not be at day one, and most likely not in a bigger scale, but I can't stop wondering how much fun it would be to be a part of a bigger operation to invade and annex a planet or just a part of it.

Any discussions in the past in this matter>

I think the thrust is that a lot of the gameplay from the Outsider 'may' make it's way into E: D in the future.

There is nothing definite stated about this, and I get the sense that FPS content will be a later major expansion (by which I mean not the first major expansion) depending on how the game sells. I don't think anything that enhances the scenario of a solo pilot is ruled out, but the more ambitious content will be later.
