Ground CZs via Frontline Support - can you lose your bonds?

Hi soldiers commanders,

I have recently discovered the joy of slaughtering dumb NPCs at the ground Conflict Zones.

I did read that when using the dropships of Frontline Support as a shuttle to the CZ and back to the station, upon getting critically injured (i.e.: death) and respawning in an orbiting dropship, you do not lose the bonds already earned.
I also have quite some experience, and a medium CZ nets ~2 million when done properly (i.e.: focusing on efficiently shooting as many NPC's as possible and ignore the control points).

Yesterday, I sided a bit with the Empire at the CZ and therefore could not cash in the bonds upon getting back to the station since I had to do that at the megaship so that they count towards the CG.
I completed my first CZ and got 1.2 million bonds (for some reason, I died 3 times, which wasted time, and also wanted to focus on a few control points for once). I then completed a second medium CZ, killed this time A LOT of NPC's, died once, and when I checked my bonds I was at 2 million only. I doubt the last CZ netted me only 800k.

What happened? Does dying keep the bonds earned at the current CZ, but lose bonds previously earned, maybe?
Or was it due to connection issues (had a lot yesterday: Mauve Adders while shuttling to the CZ, starting the CZ without any picked side, could not shuttle back to the station and had to log out) so maybe some kills did not count?

I am thinking of experimenting today but would rather not...

I never lost a combat bond to a death. I never lost a combat at all when i'm thinking about. I have the luck of a good connection, so can't comment on that.

Pro tip:
Land whith your own ship. Pick a side. While disembarging transfer all of your gear (meds, energy cells, grenates etc( back to your ship. Send ship to orbit.
This way you can stack up gratis all of your gear.

I plan to never tose anymore...once I get some G5 engineered gear ;)
As for your tip, is this to get free cells, medkits, grenades? These are pretty cheap, and I am already stocked up...or did you mean something else? I also do not believe that what you use at the CZ's depletes your stock, since it is provided by Frontline.

Yes you get free cells and medkits and grenades, when you pick them up at least ;) Yeah they are cheap, but if i can get somethink for free... in case of death we even recieve an e-breach.
Frontline provides your gear when shuttling you over i suppose. When disembarking of our own ship we provide the gear afaik. I personaly nerver use a reconnect to start over the cz, i rather fly to orbit and turn around, keeps my imerson running and is quite faster then shuttling all the way back and booking a new one.

Sadly its seems that who owns the air defense after an victory is pure random, so we have to watch out while flying away.
