Group missions in SOLO play

Why?
Right now there are 19 combat missions in all. Not a lot to choose from, especially, when most of them are group missions.

I'd think it would be great, if the missions in SOLO, actually were meant to be played in solo mode.

The mode you choose is an instancing filter that affects the players you see, the rest of the game is not affected, including mission generation.

Wing missions can be done by a single player 🤷‍♂️

Solo people can still do group missions.

Personally, "team" missions shouldn't exist, all mission payouts should share with a team by default, and the missions themselves vary in scale through the full range that solo/wing do, and the payout commensurate (i.e not pre-quartered like team missions are)

Just tried a difficulty 4. Had to get the out really fast.
This Is why I don't play the game in long periods.
It's frustrating.

The "difficulty" is a botched concept... this is just more reason why they need to get rid of the team designator because it's confusing (and never matches)

A Threat 9 solo assassination is easier than a Threat 4 Team Assassination (like what you just tried)... that's because "threat" is relative to a group/solo activity there.... that's why the whole "team" mission construct needs to go.

I'll probably have to cancel the mission and take the reputation cut. So ing annoying.

e.g These are both Threat 8. They both pay roughly the same.

The first (non-team) will be very doable if you're average in combat, as it's against an unegineered python. The second will roast an average combat pilot, as it's probably against a wing of three Engineered Vultures, which are way more dangerous than an unengineered python. That's because the 2nd assumes you do it with 4 people.

Team marker needs to go, first needs to be threat 4,and the second pay 4.4m, not the pre-quartered amount.

The second one, does not make sense in that case.
I play SOLO, I'm NOT going to play with four friends. No wonder people are confused/frustrated.

Not really relevant, if you done engineering, or just played more than I did. Solo should be easier.
There is no general easier or harder setting in the game.

  • Solo means there are no other players you can meet.
  • Private Group means you can only meet other members of that group, there are often activity or play style rules that you agree to follow when you join a PG.
  • Open means you can encounter any player in the game that can instance with you.
Certain missions and locations can have a threat level associated with them but to be honest I would not use that as anything other than a guide until I had experienced a few and new what that level meant to me and how I played.

If in doubt assume it is a trap.

I give up...

I can't figure out what your beef is. Even the jpg in your OP clearly just says the mission is "recommended" to be done as part of a team, that doesn't mean it is not achievable by the lone pilot. Whilst I doubt I will ever have the ability to take on a pirate lord and their accompanying ships, I note that there are lots of people who long for (bemoan the lack of) challenging combat.

Maybe the fact that these missions exist could encourage people to play in say a PG (if they don't want to use OPEN) and team-up with others, so encouraging co-operative activities in order to glean the increased (shared) rewards.

Except it isn't. Solo Assassinations, which are Threat 8 , are not engineered targets. That's the problem with Threat.
Agreed but there's little point folks moaning they cant do group missions without a group, solo missions do tend to be very random threat wise.
