Grouping help

A few of us have been trying to align our real lives and gaming time and get ourselves together in ED and do something together.

Last night two of us finally ended up in the same system after 2 weeks of trying to work out schedules, but no matter what we tried, we never saw each other and I have to assume it was some form of instancing?

Does anyone have an idea what happened? There are so few people who play this game anyway that I see in Open play. Inability to be in the same instance/server with friends was quite frustrating.

How should we proceed to ensure we are in the same place? Thanks!

At the moment this is very hit-and-miss. Before logging in check you have the same server IP address at the bottom left of the screen and keep restarting until you all get the same one. Then use the private group option and you should all end up on the same server and if you all go to the same system you should be in the same instance.

Wings should make this a lot more reliable but we will see on Tuesday when the beta goes live.
