I've seen many videos from jwe3 and I was playing it since the first and i've been thinking many ideas for the game since then, I really wanna see them in-game and I would accept if you frontier have to delay this game for develop this mechanics, cause they're really necessary to have a game that could compete with prehistoric kingdom, and not just that, so the community players that builds nature reserves or want to see more natural realistic dinosaurs or even park makers can enjoy a great variety of really realistic dinosaurs:
1.- Growing stages: its not so complicate, like in other dinosaur games like path of titans and prehistoric kingdom you could implement growing stages to the dinosaurs to make them feel more alive, its not necessary too much, just more than baby-adult like the zoo tycoon game that you developed so many years ago
2.- Nesting (but really): I have to admit, I didn't expect you to do this and I was really, REALLY excited for this, when I saw the first trailer I literally scream for the babies and nesting mechanics, but, as with the growing feature, nesting also needs something more, not too big but a little detail, I suggest that the dinos could create their own nests, the player would need to give the dinosaur more vegetation or more terrain features to difficult more the gameplay, adding more needs depending of the species (like rocky cliffs for the pterosaurs, or great plains for the ornithomimids and hadrosaurs) and make them build their own nests in the "nesting zone", a zone that the dinosaurs make when they explore the territory, the player would need to ensure that this zone is protected and away from the predators in some species, while in others would need to be in great open areas to defend with the herds (thats a point to see later on this post), so not only the dinos would feel more alive and realistic, it would add more difficult and atractive so the player have really a challenge if they want more appeal or "naturality" to their park/nature reserves.
3.- Realistic behavior: You have make a great job with this frontier, really, I love the new behaviors and how realistic they are, but what happened with the macro behavior? with macro behavior I mean the behaviors that depends on the enviroment and social groups, the herds and pack behavior on the two precuels were too lazy in my opinion, just sounds and touching between 2 dinos, my idea (and the community too obviously) is to add more behaviors for the packs of dinosaurs and herds of herbivores, like defending, fighting back packs of predators (for example, a herd of triceratops defending themselves from a pack of 4 allosaurus or 3 tyrannosaurus) and other things that lonely dinos can do (like ankylos smashing trees with their tails or stegos using their thagomizers to leave marks on the trees or rocks), this could be something that would make more beautiful our parks/nature reserves and the players make more content like documentals or something like that.
4.- Deep water: wow, thats all, wow, when I saw it in the first trailer I was really happy so I thank you frontier for this, I have one suggestion which is that we could make more deep water and put marine lizard species there, like mosas, plesios, archelons, or nothosaurus of they come back, just imagine a nature reserve with that, but with what we have now I'm really satisfied so you could do this or not, you sould give it a try.
