Grrrrr!!

Had a wanted hauler down to 10% hull integrity after a good long scrap. Then two "cops" flew in, announced that the pilot was "wanted in this system" and blew him out of the sky, doing me out of my hard earned, and I suspect quite large, bounty.

I was NOT HAPPY!!!!! :mad:

Did the Hauler fire on you? If so, turn off "Report crimes against me" in the right hud. Cops won't come to your aid anymore.

Should be fixed in this latest patch.

Meanwhile, if you're deliberately hunting ships, turn off "report crimes committed against me" (in the systems panel) and the cops will be much less likely to show up in the first place.

sometimes the cops can be handy though, when you find a large wanted python or anaconda, i've found the key is to make sure you've got a good position and full charged weapons when they are below 5%, or work on their FSD while the others keep their shields and armour trickling down.

As of today this should be much better. With the latest patch, if you inflict damage on a wanted ship you'll get the bounty even if the cops finish it off. I've not worked out yet how much damage you need to inflict but it's not last-hit anymore, which is nice.
