GTX 1080 ED VR sweeeeeet spot

Tried all the usual & suggested settings by following post and guides on these forums, wasnt satisfied :( found the sweet spot 2nite and it looks & plays amazing :) simple to do, install sweet fx - follow one of the threads on here. Then load ED up and simply select ULTRA NOT VR just ULTRA - no other changes in game. Run oculus debug and set it to 1.5 ss. Thats it. Tested res sites, stations + planet surfaces stutter free - smooth as butter and amazing detail.

Thank you for your advice [up]
I'm new to sweet fx, how to implement.... can't get it running.
Can't find the suggested path either

SweetFX/ReShade don't work with the Rift.
Is this definitely true? I've not tested properly but have noticed that my main ED install (to which I had applied SweetFX mods back in the DK2 days) is significantly less aliased than the standalone training missions...

If true interested why my main install looks so much better than others. Others are good, just I could swear they're not as good as the main one.

Not sure if sweetfx works or not with rift so couldnt say.. what i will say is with game set to ultra and debug tool set to 1.5 theres so much more detail + its as smooth as any other settings ive tried. It was also using 13+gig or ram i noticed.

I'm pretty sure this is old news. People have been using 1.5 pixel density for a long time now. There is a better solution where you can use pd of 2.0 and an in game SS of 0.65 to get the game running smoothly and looking much better.

SweetFX/ReShade worked with the DK2 Rift and the 0.6 runtime. All the runtimes which were released after that until today broke it.

Yup.. Tried all that and every thread says use VR high / low settings and 0.65 or 1.0 in elite. These settings use ULTRA in elite and 1.5 ss in debug tool. The outcome is amazing. Try it - dont try it, just sharing my findings :)
