Guardian Beacons--- am I missing something?

So I finally went sightseeing to a Beacon (beautiful sight), activated it, got info for a Structure nearby and an Ancient Key. Went there played the routine and received a ship blueprint.

But why? I had three ship blueprints already from other "classic" structure sites already, so I git nothing new, no ancient key required to obtain the blueprints (except you are somehow guaranteed to get one at the new sites).

So am I missing something that I can do with the ancient key that other structures do not provide already?

The ones you got earlier were due to a bug that was fixed quite some time ago.

Ah thx, didn't know that. I am reading patch notes carefully but never came across this being a bug that FD had adressed. Probably overlook on my side. I wonder for how many players the new beacon content became kind of useless because of that.

Actually, probably not too many (% wise). That bug was fixed within a week of 3.0 beiing released and, based on the forum chatter, a lot of folks seemed to be in the bubble testing out other new features/ships, not out at the Guardian sites.

Odd. I could've sworn I got it before 3.0 and by the the regular way (playing the structure game and from the data terminal not from scanning an obilisk. When 3.0 came I was not around the Guardian sites much. But my memory fails me probably.... anyway so I can consider myself lucky I guess.[big grin]
