Are we only allowed one FSD booster per ship. I put my first one in my Corvette and then added one each to my Mamba and Python. I just bought another Corvette intending to A rate it and rig it out as a miner but when I went to the appropriate tech broker there was no option to buy?. Of course I can swap the 5H module from my present Corvette but prefer to have seperate rig outs.

Sure you were at the correct tech broker (a guardian one?) A human tech broker doesn't have them.
Thanks for the replies, I was at the correct tech broker, the same one I used with my other ships. The only other thing I can think of is that the module I had empty was a 6E one as I had used the 5E's for other things. Can I use one of the two 5E Restricted modules for GFSD booster?. Maybe it was a glitch I will go back again and see though it is strange as I never had any problems installing in my other ships which is why I initially thought that perhaps it was only one per ship type.
Having already unlocked it via a Tech Broker you can buy from outfitting at any station that stocks them e.g. Jameson Memorial
Restricted slots cannot be equipped with FSD Boosters, sadly.

This. GFSD boosters won't fit into restricted slots. Swap some stuff and put it into an optional.
