Guardian Plasma Chargers... a lot of them. ( ͠° ͟ ͜ʖ ͡ ͠°)

Depends on the enemy ship. Guardian plasmas have 100% absolute damage.
According to coriolis/edsy they have 50% anti xeno damage and 50% absolute. AX damage is strongly resisted by non xeno ships. Both regular and Salvation guardian plasma.

I could be mistaken, but I was always told it was one of the big reason not to use guardian weapon (or any AX really) against non guardian targets.

The damage values we see in the Outfitting screen are the ones applied to human targets, and thus can be considered to be "fully Absolute damage." Back when the normal Guardian Plasma Chargers were introduced, I actually took them to the Skimmer Mission rush at Oakley Keep waaaaaay back in 2018 to do some PVP there and achieved some moderate success - I nearly brought down a Cutter (probably either PVE or Trade fit), but had to flee because I used a Guardian Powerplant that almost melted my Courier 🙃

In those engagements I noticed that something was off, so I did some testing with a friend and found that the values in Outfitting at the time weren't matching up with in-game results. I created this bug report that was acknowledged by FDEV:

Note that the 45 MJ value I arrived at in that bug report is the same value for a fully-charged Medium standard GPC. The very next patch changed the values in Outfitting to reflect the damage done to human ships... though I'm still trying to find the exact patch notes (a bit difficult since this happened back in 2018, before the switch to the current forum system).

Now if I can only figure out if the discrepancy between the stated Distro draw + charge multiplier and the actual in-game Distro draw is real or not... which reminds me, I need to fill out a ton of bug reports.

Edit: Just refreshed that bug report.

I replaced the guns on my pve reverski sniping krait from 5x rails to 4x mgpc cause I wanted to try a bit more close combat whilst also taking a small step towards future xeno build. It's pretty fun. Packs a reasonable punch, easy to hit with 6kmps projectiles, I like how the charge up works.

The only annoying part is that when I'm on rails, I have no problem synthesizing ammo multiple times per fight if need be, cause basic rail ammo is arguably the cheapest synth in the game. With mgpcs, running out of ammo is a genuine issue.
