Guardian Ruins are cool, but are they fun?

I'm sure for a lot of people the answer is yes, they are fun. For me, I just don't know, they are interesting, it adds a lot to the lore of the game, it fleshes out the content. These are all good things. And its optional of course.

But for me, my frustration level is a lot higher than the fun factor. Getting my srv stuck behind half buries pillars is as much fun as parallel parking. The guardian guard robots are more of a nuisance than anything else, their greatest weapon is getting my srv to tumble. I'm sure I just need to git gud or whatever, but, jeez, while I like exploring the ruins, I can't say for me that any of this is fun.

The ruins are fun to do the run around lighting up the pillars. I dont see ram tahs mission being any fun, but it injects some money into the process, and some people won't do anything without a pot of cash at the end.

Yes the money is the nerve of the war. This is known

:)

It hard to enjoy shooting as interaction, maybe using the Free cam to “use” levers buttons or such. Shooting laser cannons to blast out, well it looks G AMAZING in vr, just the gameplay is late 1990s.

The one I visited was impossible to land on - placed in the most crazy terrain possible, not accessible for my Conda.
Even this one took me a while ;)

I enjoyed em, but would have found it a lot more fun if I hadn't been required to repeat the final part of the process over and over again. It was really cool for the first 5 or 6 hours (ie time it took me to go from grabbing my explorer to unlocking a single blueprint). But as you say with drones flipping you over and getting stuck on the terrain, having to do that particular little assault course again and again just for one unlock, is what sucked all the magic out of it.

Do they actually work now?

I was out there before 3.02 dropped and it was a total joke.

Would like to give it another try, but only if all the bugs I ran into have truly been squashed.
