Guardian sentinels are a joke now.

If anyone has recently been to the guardian sites and noticed that in Odyssey they no longer fire missiles ever and instead only short bursts of their energy weapons would you mind adding to the bug report here:

As it stands now they may as well just remove them entirely. They are a complete non-issue.

Yeah I noticed that. It was my first time going to do Guardian stuff and was really disapointed with how extremely weak they were :(

Mixed opinion on this one. Equip PD on the top of your ship and land close to the site. Do that an the missile strikes are entirely trivialized.
At the same time, I rather liked the ambience of missiles being shot down as I run about.

Also... Since I usually use my ship to clear the Sentinels its all kind of academic.

Yeah, if you load up on PD the missiles are not a huge issue but at least they are there and require some adaptation. I can now all but ignore even 4 of the sad things hovering around while I just go about my business with the minor annoyance of sometimes hearing "under attack". Even with PD sometimes a few missiles made it through and on some sites my preferred medium ship was not able to land close enough in to completely screen them. The light show added something too and I miss it.

How do the guardian sites look now compared to horizons?
still misty and spooky?

Flimley

As much as I love Odyssey I've been a bit disappointed at the AI in settlements and I note your comment around guardian sites. Everything on the ground seems so much easier compared to space. On foot conflict zones are far too easy you can easily win all conflicts by 600-700 tickets. Guardian sites have lost a lot of the challenge they had before. Love to see Frontier actibally do something to match players PvP on foot for community goals or to make wars harder. Odyssey is only the start so fingers crossed a lot of its very good just needs QoL fixes.

Guardian ruins do look better, texture and model details are better. (at least it appears to me)

Sentinels are now completely boneless, maybe because when on foot they might be an issue bouncing players about the map like rag dolls.
If the game was properly thought through in the first place Frontier wouldnt need to dumb down. (The default balancing act).

Noticed that, but i cant say i extremely bothered by it.
But i do remember i had noticed this bug in Horizons before Odyssey happened.

But it really bothers me the way "collisions" work in Odyssey regarding materials.
Shoot a panel, the material flies over the horizon.
Drive the srv over a material, it vanishes in a blink (didnt managed to notice where they're flying, most of the time seems... into... ground?)

Now, this is driving me nuts

Yeah, the stuff ejecting like rail-gun rounds is pretty annoying. Helps if you shoot slowly I have found.

I'm gonna differ here. I haven't done much Guardian site stuff, only recently during one of the CGs and mostly did that getting keys from the artifacts in space, but the reduced emmissives and some of the loss of the glowy blue stuff all over guardian sites, I feel they were better in Horizons. Taking out sentinals with the Manty Executioner was fun tho.

The artifacts too and the overall darker look in space kinda hurts them in EDO.

The guardian sites in Ody seem to suffer from the "oops, the last so many updates in Horizons didn't make it into Ody" bug...

Early on, after charging the pylons, there was no light up into the sky. That's now fixed and taking on Sentinels on foot with less than G5 gear has some appeal, but the lack of Sentinel missiles really degrades the experience, IMO...
