Guardian Site Issue?? What am I doing wrong?

I play Horizons as my PC is not up to Odyssey requirements. This is my second attempt to collect the blueprint fragment required for the Guardian Frameshift Drive booster module. Currently sitting next to the temple at the site in the Synuefe LQ-T b50-1 system. I have had no issues activating the six pylons and dropping the relic into the spot required. The orb appears in front of my SRV just as the tutorials say it will.. I switch to turrent mode and scan the glowing orb with my data scanner.. I get a message to the effect that the Guardian Data Orb has been scanned. Unfortunately, I get no message that the blueprint fragment has been received.. I look through my inventory and see entries for other mundane Guardian materials have been scanned, but nothing about a blueprint fragment.
Can anyone please, please help.. The trip to these sites is a bit of a chore and getting so close without succeeding is making me crazy.

Hello commander,

If you're in an instance where someone already got the blueprint from that site, you can work through the whole process of pilon activation but in the end it will give you nothing.

In such cases you can change game mode and try again. The sentinels will spawn once again, as all site materials.

your doing nothing wrong after every blueprint collected via the orb you must relog every time else a new blueprint don't spawn
(itsa bit of a old presistant bug)

yes but as I say whatever instance you join a relog\rejoin will be required after each blueprint collected to ensure a new one respawns for collection
if you don't do this you may power all pylons again for nothing

Just run it in solo and then log-cycle if you need more than one blueprint. Yeh, it’s “gamey” but it’s the only real way to guarantee a fresh run at it.

I think you may have missed a crucial step. When the orb appears you need to get quite close to it. Once you are close enough a grey box/square will appear. You need to click on it to select it, THEN scan and you should get the blueprint. As mentioned you need to log out and back in again to farm these. 👍🏼 This happened to me btw 🤦🏻‍♂️

I logged in as Solo mode, re-ran the entire event, charged all the pylons, dropped a relic on the spot in front of the guardian data terminal. The flashing orb appeared and I got close enough to see the box.. I targeted the box and got a message Guardian Data Terminal.. (or something similiar). I changed to analysis mode, switched to my scanner and pulled the trigger. The only message I get after the scan is that I have scanned the Orb before and hit "O" to review the codex. I have no Guardian Module Blueprint or similar in my data inventory.

At this point, I believe the game is bugged for me. Exploration without a guardian frame shift drive booster is pretty lame.. I hate that I have invested so much time to get to this point and get hung up.. Do this folks even give two s about their customers? Seriously, this sucks.

Why did you composite scan it?
Data scan it.

And for the future (and also possibly why it took so long to find the reason - always attach screenshots): you can set all three of the default scanners to the same trigger. On the ship you just have to remember to deploy hardpoints if you want to use the datalink scanner.

No.. I have not rage quit. Been busy with life stuff and haven't had time to attempt it again. I have the data scanner mapped to the second switch joystick fire group switch but never got it to pop up on my analysis mode in the SRV turret mode. I will revise my fire groups and give it another shot.

SUCCESS!

While in Turret mode, the pilot gets no indication of which scanner is selected for the secondary fire group.. I had to select the correct mode (analysis) and the correct scanner in normal driving mode, then switch to turret to get it right. Once I did, it was a snap..

Thank you all for your comments.. In retrospect, it is a silly mistake but if you don't know why it is not working it is so frustrating.. And I never have really gotten up to speed on the differences in the scanners that I don't normally use.. Thanks again.

Glad to see you’ve stuck with it. Sadly the game is quite badly flawed at times but if u can accept them and learn to work around them then it really is quite enjoyable at times. Stay safe and enjoy the grind!!! 07 Commander 👍🏼
