'Fix' - 'Build' - 'Grow'. That is the order of things and not in reverse.
* Broken Wings - Disco's regularly - no 'purpose' of a wing other than to grief other players - no wing mission structures.
* Bookmarks - no ability to bookmark positions in space or on planets / moons - I can do that with a 'Tom Tom' in 2016 let alone 3302. Granted the Milky Way is a little OOB for it, but i can bookmark myself to death on the Planet Earth.
* Fumeroles, Geisers, Alien archeology - in a persistent universe....................surely the key here is persistent? I beg to differ.
* 'Dev God Mode' - Mission values - leave them bloody alone will ya! one minute you can just about scrape a living, next minute, you can't earn enough to buy a second hand shield booster - E rated.
* Passenger Missions - er...................nope. They are not. They are cargo missions with some poorly crafted textual reference. Not even passenger sounds, no ability to 'see' them (why not on the bridge - hell, even in one of the seats vacant)
* Passenger Missions - broken links.
* Mining - please................go find a corner and bury yourself.
* Station Internals - but only to a 'few' specific stations. Otherwise guess what..........yep.......all the same.
* Overpriced ship transfer out of parity to ship size, distance and time.
* Fighters. Now, this is almost right, but why not scan other forum areas for this lot. I aint goin there.
* Asteroid mining bases in pieces
* Ship landings - especially the Beluga
I could go on. Hell, most of you have.
Guardians is a huge expansion granted, but seven different iterations of beta releases and it still isn't right. In-fact, Elite is getting more and more like a utopian dream never to be visited. I can't move from the seat, I can't establish a pattern of life in missions or exploration because of limitations of game mechanics and some solid mission design (that's a take by the way). I can't fly with my mates because we will all get disco'd within an hr (Router experts see mining) and I can't arrange to meet them somewhere because we can't create usable shareable bookmarks.
The annoying, sychofantic ED channel on Youtube has been well and truly removed - utter garbage. More of a push to buy ship kits and painted SRV's on release than anything relevant - market based driven trype.
Listen ED for the love of god please listen. Focus on what you have. Make it right. Make it work. Make it reliable. Make it enjoyable. Make it worthy of an open ended game that people play for years and not wane in commitment after well............i dunno - premium backer - however long ago that was. I fail to believe that this is DB's dream. Apart from making a buck or two, you are encroaching on selling something that isn't actually what it says on the tin (I refuse to mention that game here - no...........i haven't got it).
For me..........I'm very disapointed (picture 45 yr old dad looking up to a 9 yr old). No............I really am.
