Started downloading the update two hours ago!!!!!! It said 1 hour then 3 hours then went to 3 days after half an hour........watched walking dead.......on demand........now it's a mere 349 days what the chuff chuffedy-chuff! Good job I'm a chuffing life chuffedy-chuff timer!!!!! Anyone else having this type of problem?

Update yeah! Gone down to 50 days........

I'm currently getting 2 to 3 days for the download which is really frustrating as I have my new EVGA 1060SC which was installed this morning!

Come on 2.2 ....

Ok thanks people my laptop is well sub minimum specs, so you have my respect and empathy. Glad it's just not me, thanks and it'll be great people....... Celebrating with Australian sauvignon..... Doesn't get much better.... Waiting for the update and even enjoying the anticipation..... But going to be too far down the bottles to play when it's finished or have sobered up nicely if it really is....... Like days weeks..... But I'll be ready, maybe? Whoop whoop.

It is peak game time right now ..so speeds allround is effect imo. Try after 2300 gmt :)

Also if u did¨n't had the beta the download is bigger

Ok Sevenperry, calm down.

Firstly, what speed is your internet connection?

If it's quite low, then I might suggest watching a film on catch-up will use quite a lot of your download rate.
and whining about on this Forum is not going to help in that department either. :D

Secondly, The notes from FD say the download could be 1.9GB which even on a quick connection might take a while.

Frankly I'd set it going and go down the pub ;)

on other hand I'm down to 20 minutes ... but that is benefit of having had the Beta access .. most of the changes have already been downloaded. (attempts to hide smug grin!)

I really feel sorry for you folks with 3rd world connections. Some ISPs really need to get their act together and bring broadband into the 21st century. I was happily downloading at 20.7MB/s and took about 25 minutes for the download.

Unless you get in on the patches really quick it's always slow, especially as right now is peak internet use time. Never worth getting all excited about ANY major game release/update or patch on the day it comes out there are always download or bug problems, best just accept that a few days later thanm "the date" is the least stressy way to sample whatever it is.

Sorry only got uk virgin fibre at 100 mb :( and I wouldn't be served at the mo

Is doesn't matter what speed connection you've got, not even 2 Gbps. If it's bottlenecked server side then it's going to take time.

Please....please I'm not moaning I'm excited in a kind of inebriated way......I couldn't afford the insurance anyways... Maybe tomorrow I'll kind of settle down maybe tomorrow..,....

Sitting at a mere 3 days remaining myself for the past 2 hours and asking FD for a pause and continue later download feature in this thread here:

The updates are getting bigger and taking longer so pausing them and continuing through the launcher should be strongly considered I would think.

Its the local file syncing which is taking time here, rather than being FD's fault or slow internet.

3 days to go...

Umm... why? If you cancel the download and restart it, it will take up from where it left off, after verifying the files.

It is already invisibly doing what you want FD to implement.
