Guards too quick to aggro

I fed this back during alpha however I'd be interested in others' considered views on this.

I tried a standard delivery mission however I did not notice someone wanted to "scan" me and it all went wrong. Suffice to say a £53k mission ended up with a 70.5k fine, death, located at the nearest jail (25ly away) and a 17.5k taxi fee.

This seems too harsh and I would rather the guars did not aggro so quickly or you could "pay them off".

Spending so much time just getting back to my ship was frustrating, to say the least.

I'd be interested in what people think about this or any solutions proposed. (please don't turn this thread into a "spleen" venting session.

The scan happiness should be dependent on your standing with the faction. Currently you might be allied with them, and yet once you land, you are treated as a criminal. Scanned every minute, harassed for passing too close to someone. My favourite one so far was the bartender asking me "If I have to stand so close" as I was across him on the other side of the table. 😂

I totally agree, I even reported it during alpha.

Fdev marked the issue as invalid.

I tend to avoid all settlements now because the AI is too buggy, inconsistent and unpredictable and guards are way too trigger happy.
It‘s not a good gaming experience.

Don't worry, I just tested today that my bug that has been completely ignored is still alive and well, too. Approach a settlement in your SRV, which can't stow weapons, because they are always out? Insta fines for weapons in a no-fire zone 😂

How dare I drive into the settlement instead of walking, right?

Aaah not come across that one. I'm going to raise a bug request again anyway as it needs to be looked at.

Another illogical thing is that you can’t fire your SRV weapons in a settlement because you will get fined.
But you can happily throw around grenades and fire your handhed weapons.

Just let them scan you.

You can even delete cloned IDs now which is an amazing change.

I agree with this. The guards are far too quick to scan you, even in the cases where your standing with a location you are in is on allied terms. I'd also appreciate if their first response on something like getting caught with stealing would be to ask for fine payment instead of just directly shooting at you.

Yes, resolving a minor mistakes (it's not even a crime) by other means than just instant death would be fantastic. Even this change would make the wandering around settlements a million times better.
Sadly, the issue created in alpha was marked as invalid.

Forces me to make my TOP priority disabling the alarm. And after that? Massacre everyone. Just got to be careful what targets I go after.

Stupid situations deserve stupid responses, I guess? :/
