Guest and how they decide where to go.

I was following a group of guest, on their way to the ATM, after they withdrawn some cash their next destination was "Tigers", this enclosure is on the other side of my park.
When i took a look at the list of animals they want to see i saw the Hippo i this list. My hippo habitat is very close to where the group of guest is now....
Why are they not going to the hippo's? By the time they arrive at the tiger enclosure their "allowed time" is over and they will go home....costing me a refund.
Can anyone, or one of the Devs explain this to me?

Popular misconception that guest will all ask for refunds if they dont see everything on their list, this is only one factor. Regarding guest path finding, could be a simple as someone was using the nearer ATM at the time they searched to one. I do agree that there are some weird things that happen, guest definitely prioritise food / drink over animals, so might bypass animals on their list to get food etc.

My personal approach to guests is I dont sweat the small stuff, I dont follow individual groups around that much, I make sure they are working as a whole.

Where did you read this WAS the case? ;)

Dont get me wrong, it is one of the reason they might ask for a refund. But it is far from the only thing, it is one of the elements that goes to make up happiness rating. The majority of the guests in my zoo need to see 5 animals per visit (due to size of the zoo), I get loads of visitors who dont see all five who dont ask for refunds, other who see all five but DO ask for refunds due to other issues (litter, vandals, sick etc)
