Guests not using tables

Um, so I've noticed that guests aren't using picnic tables anymore? Like, it wasn't a 1 time thing, every zoo I've made guests aren't using tables. I noticed it before the Americas pack, but I don't know exactly when it started.

And it's been through several zoos, not just 1 or 2, so I wanted to know of it's happened to others or just me

same here

I have noted that before almost as if it is only certain tables. I will recheck and see
Let me know which ones you spot it with. I tend to use the same ones and don't recall any problems but haven't used any in recent zoos yet so may be a recent issue.

Just set up an eating area in my Community Challenge zoo and the East Asia White Square tables along with their Red Canopies were used almost immediately.

I don't know about guests not using tables, but I tried to play the included Scenario (for the first time in probably years) and I could not move the Festival Picnic Canopy. I could move the table itself, but the Canopy remains inert, floating in the middle of a walkway where I wish to relocate the staff buildings. Maybe tables in general are messed up.

I've noticed the floating canopy with many tables, for ages. I just assumed that was by design, in case you wanted to use it in other ways.

But I cannot delete the canopy, and I do not see any way I can use a table umbrella inside a staff building.
Maybe see if there are certain tables/canopies this happens to, and what game mode ( in case what DarthQuell says is a factor ) and when you first remember seeing it do this . The ones I've used in franchise mode have never had this problem, so either it's the mode, or the particular piece of furniture or a bug you are having that should be reported if you can replicate it consistently.

If you can only replicate it with an existing save game/zoo. Maybe the support people will need a copy of the game/zoo you are getting the problem with.

It is the Asia DLC scenario, and the Festival Theme. A lot of the scenery is apparently immovable/undeletable, even though it is something I could build myself. The scenario presents a cramped environment with crowds of people, so I am sure this was intentional on their part. I could move the tables, but not the umbrella. Oddly enough, I can build on the umbrellas, as well as on the flowers and lily pads that were intended to serve as chokepoints for traffic flow. The little people can walk right through them, and the decorative fencing, once I removed the water pits and placed pathing. This is why I seldom play the scenarios, because they are artificially constrained to provide difficulty for the player. No one in their right mind stuffs a public gathering place with as much junk as this zoo has. :D

Yeah, sounds like it is what Darth is saying .. limited to how the scenarios are set up. I haven't done many of the newer scenarios ( the last few years ) but I remember the older ones having similar restrictions. I think it depends on what your task in that scenario is. But if it sounds too restrictive or weird to you for that level of restriction, report it as it may be something they are able to and willing to adjust.

My guess is they would add collisions to the decorations so I could not even work around their restrictions as I am doing now. I think I will leave well enough alone. :D
