Guests Still Not Riding Connie Express or Monorail

So, I have built a connie express train with 2 stops. One stop is by my main area where there are a ton of guests and rides and the other stop is on the other side of my park with a great roller coaster and a few shops. I did not connect a path from one side of the park to the other trying to force the guests to ride the connie to get there but still NOONE rides it. I have also tired the same scenario with the monorail and the same thing happens. This also happened in the beta and I figured I would try again after release but it is still not working. Does anyone know why won't they won't ride the train or the monorail for me?

This may or may not help. Make sure that the train ride itself is OPEN and then OPEN the stations. You have to do this separately. If the ride is not open then you can't open the stations.
I found this out and I have an identical set up as you describe and my guests use the train a lot.

Hope this helps.

Thanks colray, I have checked it and both stations are open and so is the ride itself....I'm just at loss here...

try adding a bunch of other rides/attractions other than just a rollercoaster, it might not be worth their time to go there if its not a ride they want to ride

Maybe make sure the monorail and any other transport rides, routes through popular areas in your park. Especially roller coasters and thrill rides.

I think that the guest are treating the transport rides as rides and they are saying the Connie express looks to boring for me. I have a Connie express with two stations and only 2 people have been on it yet and I decided to cut off part of my park from the other to see if people would ride the transport and they do not they just stand in front of the entry and say I want to go home Help me there is nowhere to go. If only they would take the train they could get out.

I had that problem in RCT3, dumb guests. I thought the peeps were supposed to be smarter in PC? AI should be better in a newer game not the same or worse than an older game. I didn't open a park yet to people so didn't try it with the train yet.

All my transport rides are popular. The guests use them as transport, not entertainment. With this I build popular rides/coaster at the stations I want my guest to visit. If the price is fair, and it`s faster to use the transportation, then the guest fills up all the trains. I have no problem with this.

I found that nobody was using my monorail when each station was set to $3. Reducing it to a free ride has filled the queue.

Nobody use m'y train or monorail, they are Free and have 0 enthusiasm 0 fear 0 nausea, i have an other park with a train with 3 enthusiasm but nobody ride it.

I think the guest brain needs to be adjusted slightly so that guests will ride the transport rides especial if they are mad and want to go home.

I found the solution for me:

You need to set the trains to MAX SPEED, so that they will actually be faster using the trains to get to their destination of choice instead of walking. I went from zero riders to having to add extra trains and wagons to be able to fit all the passengers. I also set the entrance fee to free, but I don't think that is relevant, since now they are saying it's a cheap bargain.

In my park the Connie Express and Monorail work just fine. As other posters advised, make sure to open both station (Entrance and Exit should be there as well). As I understood you did those things.
When peeps want to go to a coaster or ride they want to get there as fast as possible so there should be enough distance to the other station. In my park all the queues to the Connie Express are full because the peeps want to get to the coasters and water rides on the other side of the park (far away from the entrance). The only walkway to these rides go in a circle around my park. So the shortest or fastest connection to the rides from the entrance is via Connie Express. You can also lower the price in one station to make sure peeps get into the train and rise it on the other station to make sure that peeps don't drive back to the entrance/exit of your park. When you also place an ATM there you can make lots of money [big grin]
