Guests walking on the spot

I initially thought it was due to grid pathing as that seemed to be a common theme. But today .. I noticed something unique.

The only spots I saw this happening on my new zoo was at the entrances to a walkthrough habitat. I always put 2 donation bins alongside the path so didn't think anything of it. However, it seems, that the guests were constantly looping because the donation bins were equidistant from where they were, so couldn't decide which bin to donate to. Several moves and watching later and I decided to remove the extra donation bin. No confused guests.

Roll out a few game years later and I finally set up a food and drink court along with bins. With some benches and bins outside. And would you believe it .. the same problem. If 2 bins were equidistant from where the guests were they couldn't decide which bin to use. Solution, remove a bin. No more confused guests.

So, if you see this happening in your zoo, try moving an object that is near another object that may be confusing them. Thankfully benches don't seem to cause the same problem. Touch Wood.
