Guide/Explanation for Missions

Hi,

does anyone know of a short guide/explanation for the available missions?

I have no problem with the courier or trading missions (except being too greedy).

But where do I find special stolen cargo?

How do I find the right ships to shoot down?

Get a cargo scanner and go hunting.

You can also take a hauling mission for that type of cargo and then abandon the mission which then flags the cargo as stolen.

If you get a mission to hunt a specific ship such as War Essence, Mistral etc. you have to supercruise around and look for Unidentified Signal Sources.

The stolen cargo missions are for pirates/salvagers/courier missions scammers, you need to find someone carrying cargo and shoot their cargo hatch or shoot them with limpets to get them to drop it.

For the assassination missions with named targets, you need to go to the specified system and investigate USS's until you find the named NPC ... this takes time and isn't always easy ...

For Merc missions(kill civilian/authority) you go to the system and start shooting ships that fall into one of the categories, be warned that blowing ships up in USS instances or interdictions doesn't count unless you kill enough targets without frameshifting away.
