Guide to the Earthlike Worlds of Synuefe

A work in progress.
Rather than wait for something to happen in the game, I'm going to give myself a goal.
I will continue to update this as I gather data.
{the mods have graciously moved my posts to this thread, and I thank them for the assistance}
Goal - Identify all ELW in the SYNUEFE region of space.
* First and foremost - give credit to the brave CMDRs who came here first!
* Not meant to detract from the fantastic work of CMDR Glyn-ie and CMDR Marx, rather just a smaller scope.
* List various distances from said ELW
* Identify groupings that would make for strong system groups [e.g. ELW close together]
* List any specific resources that make it more valuable [e.g metallic belts, WW]
* Help provide justification for human expansion into this area

Location of SYNUEFE SECTOR:
SYNUEFE Sector is more like a blob rather than a boxed area. There are some areas
at different declination's that seem to have a relatively straight border.

The sector is not centered in one specific Octant, it overlaps into other Octants
Perhaps the bulk is located in Octants VIII. Around declination -440 it meets the
SYNUEFAI Sector near -60: -440: 220 , COL173 Sector near 1,210:-440:220.
On the opposite side it meets the OOCHOST Sector around -60:-440:-1,140 and
the COL70 Sector around 10:-440:-1,140.

SYNUEFE QL-B D14-20. First discovered by CMDR HARBINGER73

Critical location:
SYNUEFE QL-B D14-20 is almost directly below SOL and is situated in a good location to support trade with a large number of EMPIRE systems.
It would serve as a distant protective area for the defense of SOL in the event of an invasion.
With LAKA the nearest food exporter, the EMPIRE faces risk to its systems if war breaks out. LAKA is Independent and could turn off food supplies to our citizens.
Therefore, it is critical that SYNUEFE QL-B D14-20 be colonized by EMPIRE citizens immediately so that an EMPIRE system is in the position to supply all the food demands.
It also is an excellent location for citizens to vacation, and is a gateway system to the outer ELWs.
It is a logical expansion to more fully connect via HIP 1514 into the ADITI/FEHU area.

Here is another "Gateway system" that would allow trade routes to flourish.

Critical location:
HIP 28508 connects to a large number of Empire systems that would benefit from the food and trade made available from an ELW.
It would also be a good expansion opportunity for the Federation, so either way it could be made into someones stronghold.
It is a logical expansion to connect the HEXAD area with the EMPIRE and finalize our grip on this sector.

Critical location:
There are over 74 million reasons why YM-H D11-44 and her twin HIP 28508 need to be settled right away. Those reasons all live on nearby
Empire stations. Not only do these two planets offer the chance to snub Federation attempts to expand into this region, but they will
provide the needed food and other trade items to support a large number of Empire citizens living nearby. It is also a gateway to
the HEXAD systems of ELWs.

I revised this entry on 24AUG2015 due to missing and wrong data:

SYNUEFE GE-F D12-31, a binary pair - ELW and a much larger TWW that has an atmospheric pressure of 11,422 atmospheres. Both were first discovered by the famous CMDR GOLDRICK:

A suitable partner to colonize and tie in with FEHU/ADITI. Facing inwards from ADITI looking at SOL, you will travel right and slightly down. Fully explored route.

Critical location:
What makes SYNUEFE GE-F D12-31 so important is it's location. ADITI and FEHU are both agricultural systems and they need trade partners who right now are too far away.
There are Empire systems closer to the bubble, but what is missing is a midway central distribution point.
Needed food, beverages, and Empire slaves would flow towards these systems through a station here and in return, there would be products, raw material, tech, and tourists coming to see the worlds on a vacation.
It is a logical expansion to connect ADITI/FEHU with the EMPIRE.

I decided to fly back to ADITI rather than EXPHIAY and make this report. 25 big hops through some relatively unexplored systems.
Found several metallic belts around stars on the way back.
And something else, I'm starting to see a lot more USS in these systems.

Nothing extra special here, other than the ELW. I made the trip from ADITI making 20LY hops and
with the exception of 2 systems in the middle, the entire route was explored.
Would tie in with the TRIO ok and make a 4 ELW conglomorate.
I did find 5 systems scattered along the route with metallic belts, but this is starting to become very common.
About 9 jumps into my trip (SYNUEFE YF-C B46-0) I found SSS and USS right at the star.

Yesterday I was amazed at a group of three ELW so close together that I named them "THE TRIO". Today, I tell you that it is better than that! It is a group of 6 ELW very close together and I've called it "THE HEXAD":

Let me begin with my journey. After completing my survey of SYNUEFE FW-L C24-14 I began to review my logs and discovered that I was very close to 3 other ELW:
* SYNUEFE PX-S C20-12 was only 135.70LY away
* SYNUEFE QX-S C20-18 was only 147.87LY away
* SYNUEFE QC-I B43-0 was only 153.13LY away

This tight grouping of 6 ELW over here is amazing. I decided on traveling to the closer first but at an economic jump distance to evaluate the level of exploration in the area.
It's 27 little jumps taking about me about 1.5 hours. If you were looking inwards from Barnard's towards SOL, I would be going right to left.

I must say the route was about 96% explored. Yes, there are about 100 unexplored snowballs floating out there that I skipped and also a couple of Stars sitting alone between 396,000LS and 438,000LS from their primary.
Best part of the trip was at jump #9 [SYNUEFE ZU-N C23-4] containing a terraformable HMCP and a WW.

I encountered 2 USS on my trip. The first in [SYNUEFE YP-B B47-0]. Normally I ignore these, but I got curious and checked it out. A group of 5 pirates lead by Pat & Angul. I left. The second in [SYNUEFE NX-G B44-0] which I ignored.

Anyway, I pop into The Fourth of "THE HEXAD"

Star K - Secondary. 0.7891 solar masses. Belt is metal rich 1.837 moon masses. All HMCP around it have atmosphere, only rocky does not.
Secondary is 9,860LS from Primary. Nice and close.

Star M - Secondary. 0.2305 solar masses. Has a Water World. All HMCP around it have atmosphere. One ice planet is Methane rich(1.3%) the other Neon rich(0.7%)
Secondary is 7,359LS from Primary. Nice and close.

Star M - Tertiary. 0.2891 solar masses. Belt is metal rich 0.9982 moon masses. Gas Giant has metal rich A ring, 4 ice planets with no atmosphere and 3 with methane atmosphere.

Anyway, Having explored what turned out to be six ELW inside an 87LY box; I paused to allow my onboard 8-bit UC computer to determine our next course.
It crashed the night before, however I just happened to pick up a voice activated PEZ dispenser in a gift shop on Mobius works that had the same CPU chip installed.
I'm going to miss hearing the head of the princess ask me if I want another PEZ, but this is serious cartography and no time for tom-foolery. I cannibalized the chip
and reset the UC computer. At 0430 local galactic time, the buzzer went off in my stateroom. I grabbed a beer and walked down to see what the fuss was all about.

Cartographic examination results - Next nearest ELW: SYNUEFE EZ-F B44-6. Distance 128.28LY. Shortest hop calculation = 6.
I program the course into the nav computer and made the jumps. Not very well explored, maybe 33% of the 6 hops had a prior visitor.

Thanks CMDR. I believe that is also missing from the main list of ELW spreadsheet.

After entering CMDR SELRACH's ELW data into the onboard UC computer, I punch in the distance calculation from SYNUEFE OV-Y C16-3. 572.50LY. Not bad, and it's farther to the right of the SOL-BARNARD's line.
However, my little PEZ computer has been calculating the next closest known ELW from here and that is SYNUEFE JT-O D7-79. 274.20 LY straight up.

I can do the 36 economic jumps or the fastest 15 jumps. I choose the 15 jumps and start on my way. Now, 15 jumps vice 36 means that I might miss something important; but such is the chance an explorer takes.
What I can tell you of those 15 jumps is that the first 9 were not explored at all and then the remainder began to be partially explored, then fully explored. There's a big area of unexplored space around here.

Anyway, SYNUEFE JT-O D7-79. First discovered by the famous CMDR MARX.
A bit interesting here, because the Star was discovered by someone else. Was it before or after the ELW was found? I don't know; but Man! that would make me sad to have missed an ELW; but things happen that are just an unfortunate fact of life. We live, we learn, we move forward smartly.

Star A - 1.3828 Solar masses.

First HMCP has no atmosphere, the other HMCP all have atmosphere.
