Sorry if this is in the wrong section, it's not really a feature request, it's more Feedback related.
I've actually been playing Elite since pretty much it's inception. My first version was Elite for the Amstrad CPC464, followed by the Commodore Amiga version (in my mind the best of the original version of Elite).
I then moved on to Elite Frontier on the Amiga, and then Elite First Encounters on the PC.
While Frontier and First Encounters were interesting games, especially when it came to flight control(!) they were nothing compared to Elite Dangerous.
I've now been playing, (on and off to be fair due to time constraints) since the full version of Dangerous came out.
It absolutely amazes me how excellent this game is, and for the amount of money you charge for it.
In the day and age where people are pumping literally hundreds of pound (or dollars) into games on their iPhones, Elite Dangerous is exceptional value.
As everyone knows, the game is so vast, it's more a way of life really. I've only recently got into the whole concept of mining for materials and minerals so I can get my ship upgraded at workshops, and it's just fantastic. It just never gets boring! The Horizons update was particularly excellent, although it required me to install a Bootcamp Windows partition on my Mac to play it.
From an educational point of view as well, it's fantastic to be able to show my children flybys of the planets in our solar system, as well as the nearby stars that they have heard of. The accuracy and attention to detail is just epic. The huge ships, the sounds, the visuals.. the whole thing constantly amazes me.
I really can't say enough how fantastic this game is and how great it is that you keep developing it, improving it and making the whole thing fresh without ruining it.
In all my time playing I honestly don't think I've found a bug, crashed out, or found anything about the game I thought was badly written or designed. Microsoft could really take a leaf out of your book!
So, sorry if this is in the wrong place as a feature request. My only request being, don't ever stop what you're doing because it's just perfection.
