General Gameplay Gyrosphere 1st Person View Has A Stiff Neck

Your Feature Request / Idea
The ride/drive Gyrosphere looking area is too restricted. It doesn't allow the player to look left, right, up, or down completely (despite the fact that the vehicle is a transparent ball so they see everything around them). In fact, the only thing I could possibly describe how stiff the camera feels is on-par with going on a tour while wearing a neck brace (to put it bluntly).
Below I illustrated how limited the peripheral view is currently in comparison to how it could be.

Ideally, the player should be able to look even slightly behind them (over the shoulder).
On the topic of gyrosphere view, could the rider character models (for the player-controlled gyrosphere) be disabled?
I'm not a big fan of having a random person's hands waving and pointing in front of the camera while I'm trying to enjoy the experience for myself.
It's like being in a movie theater or on a ride in an amusement park with a heckler or child that won't stay still. I know its probably not that big of a deal for most people but, those rogue hands popping in from the corners of the screen (the 'oooh~"s and "aaah~"s are really distracting too).

This is true! Things can be way better if the viewing angle can be expanded one way or the other. Right now, the ride mode is pretty much useless I have to say, sadly……:(

I suspect it might have something to do with the partner sitting next to us, blocking our view. As I said earlier on Gdain’s thread, I don’t mind.

Alternatively, this can be solved by granting us having partial controls in ride mode. By pressing “A” or “D” we can turn left or right (to suit our view) while the Gyrosphere follows its set course. As you know, the Gyrosphere is pretty versatile – it can strafe left and right and move in all directions regardless of its orientation.

Earlier, I’m kind of worried that such a complex motions of rotation of coordinate frame combined with movement is not doable. But when I go to the gunner position in ACU, instantly I realize this shouldn’t be a problem for them. These guys do Elite Dangerous so I suppose this is just a piece of cake for them.

Edit:- By the way, I like our partner actually. I don’t find their behaviors annoying at all. On the contrary, they make the journey lively. I’m not sure but sometimes it seems like they do point at things I miss.

Personally, I've grown used to the gyrosphere's Resident Evil-esque tank controls its just how damn stiff the camera is that hurts it. But I would say that some strafing and bumping physics would be nice.
As for your thoughts of the passenger, I guess but, I personally like to use the gyrosphere for safari photography screenshots and in that regard, the passenger's hands pointing can be annoying.

Also, the option to switch seats would be nice.
