Habitat Design that triggers Animal Escape Bug (Aviod This)

Once Upon a time i had a big cat that was so motivative that it played and interacted with all the things in the habitat, that comes a problem.

When it triggered the jump animation that jump from the inside of the hut to outside, the drop point was outside the habitat (the hut was too close to the wall before it was relocated), the big cat force finished the animation that it jumped through the wall and trigger the escape bug.

This happened several times before I noticed that it triggered this way and fix it, also i have noticed that some animals may also trigger this kind of force animation escape bug, especially the animals that have climbing abilities. If they climb or jump with the interactive objects and their body went outside the habitat, the escape counts and trigger the bug. Mostly it will instantly disalarm after it finished the animation and still in the habitat, but the guests nearby will still escape from the Zoo anyway.

And a rare situation is that if the drop point with the end of the animation is not valid place that an animal can stand, it will randomly transport the animal inside or outside the habitat, if it is outside it counts as escape.

So a highly filled habitat may actually increase the chance of the escape bug as there are too many interactives that the animal triggers and you dont know which one or which time it will force the animal go outside the habitat and trigger the escape bug. So best thing is to avoid any interavtive objects placing too close the habitat corners and it will be fine.

Hope this discovering will help you a bit, cheers~ ;)

Not entirely related, but I have also noticed that if you have the game on x5 simulation speed, animals tend to escape more. Don't know if the developers are aware of this issue.

I've also seen this a lot with the food enrichment items, esp. the pinata and the blood pumpkin. So definitely good advice to move them a little bit away from the barriers. (y)

i had hyenas escaping their enclosures countless times... until i noticed that its probably because i had placed the rotation line feeder too close to the windows... after i replaced it it stopped happening.

I had a primate escape today, no pathing issues but it was a habitat/border proximity issue. Can only assume it is a clipping issue that's been in the game since Beta. I remember my ostriches used to run from one end of he habitat to the other just so they could phase through a glitchy barrier rofl.
