Habitat Speakers

Hmmm, if it comes to this, I'd like to know why the guy in the "mumbling crowd" is constantly throwing a tantrum about poor "Sheila" :D

Don't think there'll ever be an option like this 'cause the ingame language is Planco which, even though there are a few translations, is not an actual language, so I doubt there's any real info being given out.

Yes, @Nioell is correct, it's all in the language Planco, specifically created for the Planet Universe! The Planco that is heard from the Education Speakers are translations of some of the facts found in the Zoopedia. As well as each species having their own factual lines, there are a number of general conservation lines that play, which tie into the topical information boards that players can place around their parks.

As someone who voices one of the guests, I can assure you that we are speaking real sentences, just in the Planco language. We comment on the animals, and on other things too - in my case, I talk about my hair, and how great a mentor I thought the previous Lead Community Manager, Bo, was/is! The personal sentences were created for each individual speaker, so they're relevant to us, and they're used as crowd chatter, while when we see the animals, we may express a wide variety of emotions!

It's a really cool language, and I don't think we will be rerecording all the sentences in other languages. So, all the Planco you hear will likely always remain Planco.

That is some really interesting information! I figured it was something like that, much like with other games that use their own language. It definitely saves having to rerecord every phrase in multiple languages as well. Having their own language makes it a lot simpler, and it's not like we can't tell their general mood from their thoughts.

Thankfully! To be honest, my ears would get bored really fast when I would hear repetitive sentence that I understand pretty good.
I love Planco and as a language enthusiast and someone who also studied linguistics, I can't stop my excitement that an actual language was created for the Planet universe! :) And Planco has a nice sound as well.
