hayho all well i decided to play EDO and even though you get a flat screen in front when on foot the game play was not that bad at all.
went scavenging and used my srv and then on foot and the game transfered from vr to flat screen seamless and had a great time.
yes its not total emersion when it switches but its doable and quite enjoyable.

I was just thinking of giving mine a shot again. It broke my heart to lose all the performance I had prior to the swapover...
