Had my first time last night

Yup... as the title says.

I know, I know... It's not something to talk about really, but for me it's a big thing! I mean... you know... the first time! I am aware that many people had done it before, even more than once I wager, but for me... it just never happened. Maybe I did not try hard enough, or maybe tried too hard, who knows. Honestly, I did not understand how you guys and girls were able to do it, I always thought I'm so beyond doing that.

But... last night it all changed. Yup... last night... for the very first time in my life... I hit a boost instead of deploy gear and smacked into a back wall of a station.

I'm proud of myself.

Stay thirsty my friends!

The first three lines I could have sworn you were talking about something else.
But congratulations nonetheless!!!

Welcome to the club.

Once, I survive that stunt by crawling into the deepest corners of the stations backside, noticing details about the structure that i previously had no eye for.

Thankfully every time I've done it I've managed to pull back in time before my spaceship exploded. That has saved me from a lot of expense.

Never hit the back (yet), but I have rather stylishly boosted into the wall just above the slot on the way out. In a 160 million python.

Thankfully those keys are very far apart for me ;D

Though once I had the wrong firegroup selected when wanting to scan a docked ship... ended up firing a ball of plasma through the mail slot. Was annihilated in seconds by the station, hilarious xD I always double check my firegroup when scanning since then.

Been in the club a few times. Most of the time I die is due to stupid stuff like this, or slamming into an asteroid in a dog fight, or crashing into another ship and exploded. Only been killed by a player or NPC a few times.

[snip!]

If it was Solo, I'm not sure it counts though... :p

Congratulations Sir, Everyone here has done it as they say

50% do it, and admit to it, and 50% are liars ;)

Kissing the wall of a station is a lesson we all have to learn the hard way... sometimes its a cargo hold full of expensive items... hard.

I did that on the way out of a station last night in my Python.

Ah, that sick feeling when you've totally misjudged the lateral drift, and realise you are never going to make the slot in a million years - panic stations!

So, FA Off, full reverse thrust, drop the gear and...crunch.

I survived - just :D

6A shield and 3 A-grade boosters ftw!
