Had something happen to me today that made me mad enough to post on the forums.

Why even play when the game is just going to stop working and go to a black screen while in the middle of combat only to relog in to find myself at the rebuy screen.

Get your stuff together ED and make your game stable.

Whats the point of playing when a week or so worth of being overly careful to not die, is gone in a few seconds all because of a game hiccup at my expense. I do not even care to expend the energy sending in a ticket to try and have my game restored, because in all honesty this should not have happened in the first place. It is frustrating to a point where I would rather give ED the middle finger than spend any time typing a lengthy ticket as to what I was doing before the game crash.

I think I've experienced the same a few times - fortunately not critically.

I seemed to me like a graphics driver bug. The screen goes black but otherwise the game continues to run. Lasts a few seconds (10s?).

Is this a ragequit thread? It seems like one, but then again IDK how far away OP has driven. They did use a golfclap so maybe they're driving a golf cart, and we can convince them to come back instead of flipping beans about an online game glitch like they're brand new.

This is not a rage quit thread... it did not drive me very far... but it did upset me to a point where I came to the forums and posted my frustration. I love this game too much to wander too far from it. I have no need to restore my game because I will just grind it back. I just had a moment of weakness and in frustration i cried on the forums......

Make no mistake about it, I love this game and enjoy it to a point where it should be illegal.

I knew you couldn't get far on that cart. Welcome back. You got back fast enough that nobody even asked for your stuff!

It does suck vacuum to lose any kind of game situation to technical difficulties. I never use wireless mice for that reason. Lost too many FPS situations due to battery death.

Aaaaaand OP has demonstrated one of the main reasons why people come to these forums in the first place: to vent. Is it any wonder why this place is so toxic? There needs to be a venting sub-forum that is wiped regularly.

Kudos for acknowledging your mistake. Unfortunately most people don't make this kind of admission and just leave after ranting. If we had more people like you willing to admit your mistake then maybe the forums would be a better place.

My experience with Elite is very stable, black screen mid combat, sounds like a possible computer issue, combat can be some of the toughest stuff, before you blame frontier maybe check computer and see if it happens elsewhere? find games that pressure your computer and see if you can repeat it.
