Had trouble escaping a Python in a Eagle

Hello,

Interdicted a wanted Python commander(npc) and had a hell of a time escaping. He was catching in on me everytime I did not use afterburner.

I am in a stock Eagle, should it be possible to take out a Python? His all over the Place lasers tear me quickly appart :)

To add, I have no trouble defeating High ranking Cobras or whatever fighters.

Python is pretty fast... faster then Eagle actually. Eagle has only one advantage its manoeuvrability. And it would be strange is Eagle would have no trouble vs Python (both in Combat and evading it) as Python's costs 56M (basic configuration).

all depending on his outfit and rank.
I could take out a python that was distracted with system authority once with my Freagle.
Encountered lateron an, i think, elite dropship and couldn't scratch its shields. He was also maneuvering as hell, always facing his front to me, same as i did with thrusters, so from far yaway this must have looked like we were dancing. Well ended deadly for me at the end, but i learned alot from that.

I almost got caught out by one last night. Thankfully I managed to get some distance with a head on pass at full burn and escaped with 20% hull left. They cant turn as quick as the Eagle which gives you a few options (not many mind you).

I had a similar experience over the weekend, a few times actually (I kept getting interdicted) after a few encounters I figured out the best option is to get better with thrusters and basically dance until you can get back in to super cruise.

Of course when it happened right by the sun, I ended up fying myself trying to escape.

Sounds like the NPCs have taken the training wheels off and loaded live ammo, they always seemed a little bit tame in gamma. These are the ships that will be hunting players with big bounties on them.

yep! My python kill (helped by sys auth) was worth 26k roughly.

Pythons are the hell ... I got interdicted by one (well, to be more exactly, I let myself interdict by one ... my way of hun ting pirates ;) ) and she proved to be too much to swallow for my cobra.
Barely escaped ... with shields down and 60% structural integrity

I've been interdicted a LOT more in Gamma than ever before (Solo mode). And while before it was mostly system authorities "pulling me over" it was so far always pirates (in a federation system, not anarchy or anything) that attacked me instantly (edit: I have no bounties and no cargo on board, which makes me wonder even more why they keep attacking me). Since it has become much harder to evade interdiction too, I'm now basically fighting for survival every single encounter in my stock sidewinder. Barely made it back alive to the station yesterday with 30 secs of oxygen left...

Gamma changelog states that if you don't have a bounty, sys auth will not interdict you.
And indeed, what you describe is exactly what i criticized in an other thread.
There is no logic behind the current interdiction mechanic.
No scanning, no hail, no nothing, just always a psychotic trigger happy mad-hatter that will try to kill you on sight.
It's sad.

Edit: it was the last beta changelog, not gamma, sry
