Half Dome ... how to?

So, I know how to make domes via the copy-past method but I wanted to make a half dome to attach to a larger building. I did, after a fashion - by making a full dome and painsakingly deleting each individual item from the half I wanted to get rid of. Is there an easier way? When I tried to use the same copy-past method with only half a dome span, the rotation center in the movement tool was in the wrong place, making the circular turn way to tight.

Anyone know an easier way to make a half (or partial) dome? See image below - the ends are the halfdome I made via a lot of deleting.

The copy paste method is the best.
Make sure that all the dome pieces are a scenery group or building and then you can select half of the dome and delete it in one go.
If there's no building pieces in the dome it's easy to make the dome as a building/ scenery group.
1: Place 2 pieces of glass or whatever you're making your dome with.
2: Use the Multi select tool (the small rectangle icon at the bottom right of the screen) and select both pieces.
3: Click the Add To Group icon (the one that looks like a tree with a +)
4: Edit that group as a building and build your dome.

Hope this helps.

No, oh - I know how to make a full dome. That's not the problem. I want to make a half dome. Like, cut the dome I made in half so I can attach it to some other non-round building (as the ends on the example). I was able to make a half dome (I'm having trouble locating my screenshot of it), but it required me deleting, piece by single piece, the half I didn't want.

If you create the dome using the mud-pillar method, using only paired (opposite sides of the pillar) sections for the wall and roof, then you should be able to delete almost all of one half using group select fairly easily.

Hi XT
What I got from what you said was that the main issue was having to delete half the dome 1 piece at a time, which is a pain in the backside.

So if you follow my steps, making sure all the pieces of the dome are saved as a group/building, you can still use the copy, rotate method of making the dome and then delete half of the dome in 2 clicks (one to select and one to delete).
It really is a quick and easy way to do what you're going for. I made one this way in about 5 minutes.
