Hardware & Technical Hall Sensors used by CubPilot-Cougar

Gents:

I am rebuilding my Cougar stick with the Uber2Nxt mod kit but need the Hall sensors .

I found a site that has Hall effect sensors....... they are the QP-2H/QP-2HC "Angle" sensors... they look identical to the ones shown at Cougar.Foxy site, and
the same in my Uber2Nxt manual. However, according to the maker of Uber2Nxt they are supposed to be "Position" sensors...

What is the difference?

Any help would be appreciated.

The link above has a pretty good explanation of how the various Hall effect diodes work and the three different types.

I'm pretty certain the type you will need will be ratiometric Hall effect.

I may be wrong, but with the information on what each type is, you should be able to work it out.

I must say, I haven't worked with Hall effect for over 30 years. Thanks for the mental stimulation.

I was redirected to the USA company by Midori parent comp.... It is a CA corp. The QP-2H orange label in the pdf .......... appears to be the same as in Cougar World how to article... But.. the single shaft...... does not appear to be the same....... I have asked them if they had provided these units to CubPilot.....

I went to their AMerican Company site. I found the correct model of the Hall Sensor.... I am not sure if the single shaft has the same diameter as CubPilot and Ian Johnston (Uber2Nxt) has worked out..

I am attempting to contact IJ and others who might know where and h ow to reach these two gents..... The sensors are $100.00 each in lots of 2. I am committed to finding these Hall sensors....

I have asked Midori for the exact diameter of the shaft, length and the diameter of the male part that mates with the female threading on the Uber2 Nxt.. no response yet....

I think I have a reasonably accurate mm measuring device... I will try and determine the measurements of the Uber2Nxt....
female shaft for the single shaft and the threaded female part for the hall insertion..

I was able to confirm it is Midira America that sells the Hall sensors sold by Cubpilot. This was confirmed by I believe Mustang51 and Fakcum.... who has been in touch with I. Johnson who machined the gimbals for the HOTAS Cougar joystick... As soon As I can I will locate the post and link it here for you. Each are $100.00. two per gimbal.
