General / Off-Topic Han Solo's pistol sold for $ 550,000

It’s based on the German broom handled Mauser pistol, you can even buy a kit to make your own using an airsoft version of the weapon. You can also buy an airsoft version of the Imperial Stormtrooper blaster (it ain’t cheap and got crap reviews for use in airsoft)

Here are a few links that I found many years ago regarding Star Wars movie prop weapons. I am sure some of you may enjoy them.

Since I am a Federally (US) licensed collector of vintage firearms AND a huge Star Wars fan since 1977 I found it very interesting to see what real world firearms were used and how they were aesthetically modified for the movies.

And this one is a pretty cool homemade conversion of a Sterling L2A3 Mk4 to a Blastech E11 - https://sterlingblasterconversion.blogspot.com/

Enjoy!

The Mauser pistol is a popular gun.
It was used by the Rocketeer, taken from the original German user, and featured in the spectacular Art Deco posters.
