Hangar and a kws questions.

Ok. So I know that when you go into the hangar that it doesn't remove you from the instance. Is there any way to do this apart from quitting to main menu?

Also, is the kws still worth getting, or should I use the slot for something else?

Cheers.

Can’t help you with the instancing question but Kill Warrant Scanners are very useful for earning extra money especially on a dedicated Bounty Hunting ship.

The kill warrant scanner can easily double the bounty payout you earn. It's probably not worth it to have installed at all times but if you are specifically going bounty hunting it's worth it. In case where you want a specific factions bounty like this cg it probably won't boost your progress much if at all however, you will be making additional credits.

I don't understand the first question.

As for the second question, if you are doing NPC combat for credits, then yes, a KWS is worth it. Soon, though credits will become plentiful and a KWS won't be as useful.

No, only quitting to the main menu will remove you from the instance, if I am docked at an outpost & want to free up a pad to go (briefly) afk but not leave the game I just undock & fly away.

A KWS will improve your earnings from bounty hunting but it's main use is for obtaining bounties for factions other than the one in control of the system for tactical BGS use. So if you are supporting the controlling faction definitely don't cash in bounties for any other faction present in the system, if you are opposing a controlling faction definitely do use a KWS & hand in all local bounties except the faction(s) you are opposing.

Most of my mission running & armed traders have a KWS, better to have it & not need it imo, assuming I don't need the slot for anything more important :)

Also, is the kws still worth getting, or should I use the slot for something else?

Is it worth trading a utility slot for extra credits? That's the question you must answer yourself and it will likely vary depending on the ship you're equipping. It's easy to cram a KWS onto a Corvette, not so much on an Eagle.
