Hanging Bug Help: Stuck on the construction site of a planetary output I am building

I cannot press any key in game when starting the game after returning with some Steel and Aluminum at my construction site for a settlement. It is all basically frozen. Happens every time I reload (Solo or Open Mode).

System: Alrai Sector MS-3 B3-0
Commander: SlasherMarv
Ship: Imperial Cutter
Planet: 2
Settlement type: Extraction
Completion: 38%

When I try to exit it says I am in a danger zone and I need to wait 15 seconds before I can exit.

If closing and restarting the game does not help, you could try menu option Help and Info > Stuck recovery (it does say recover to your ship so might not help you)

Alternately the Frontier Support option on the same menu will allow you to submit a request for help (if you view any of the items you can then submit an un-related request). There is a banner saying support are busy at present but if completely stuck this is the way to go

The only time I've seen the like is when I've inadvertently switched focus to another (background) window, resulting in my increasingly furious keyboard hammering populating a hidden spreadsheet (or similar).

If it's reproduceable are you able to try dumping (a token offering of) materials at another Commander's building site?

I suspect Blaggerdy's "Help and Info > Stuck recovery " might be your friend here.

That's normal for construction sites.

Maybe your input is messed up, as others have said, you are actually typing in another app, or maybe a game overlay like Steam is causing you trouble because you keep doing a specific key combination to turn something on.
Is it just keyboard? Can you unlock your mouselook okay and look at other ship panels?

That's normal for construction sites.

Maybe your input is messed up, as others have said, you are actually typing in another app, or maybe a game overlay like Steam is causing you trouble because you keep doing a specific key combination to turn something on.
Is it just keyboard? Can you unlock your mouselook okay and look at other ship panels?

Nothing works, including mouse look. This started suddenly only now, never happened before, controls are the same, I checked them in the menu prior to loading. There is no other app messing with my window, this only happens once I load the game.

And all of a sudden this problem fixed itself, without me doing anything, at my 8th restart of the game.

Maybe (this is an absolutely punt based on personal experience and no facts relevant to this scenario) if you're using controller(s) then a detection went wobbly. This can cause ED to select another controller profile with whatever key mapping that profile uses.

Example, I set up a joystick to ease camera suit control, with an Xbox controller connected for main game action. Start ED without the joystick connected and ED drops the entire profile disabling my controller and leaving me with default KBM mappings (and a few choice words for the screen).

Lesson is to ensure any and all controllers you may have configured for ED must be connected and functional as you start the game.

Any hoo, that's my irrelevant red herring sown for today.

Move throttle back forward too while toggling. This should unstuck you when you are in your ship

No other controllers here, just plain ol' keyboard.

No button was working in any way. I was basically docked too.
