So...I'm sitting at my favorite cantina at Ackermans Market, talking to some of the other Space Hawg jockeys (man do those Haulers snort when you pull off the throttle) and we all got to waxin' philosophical after a few brews. You know, things like:
Why does the black market only buy from us? You'd think they'd be able to sell the occasional avionics suite for smugglers to help mask cargoes and get you in the dock quick like, or maybe some military weaponry. I heard tell that there are some weapons systems out there that will leave a smokin' hole in space where a Clipper was...in one shot!!!
Speakin of systems, I was talkin' to Joe Murphy, the Zorg service tech in Ackerman, and he says that there should be a secondary market for performance parts. Heard a rumor that a company, Zenon Performance Group, make nothing but kick butt maneuvering thrusters. 2 to 8 degrees per second improvement in flat plane turning, depending on how much you want to pay. Talked to the distributors at the various space ports that I frequent and they all looked at me like I grew a third eye. Geeze, there's a market out here for faster, high DPS, hard armored, stuff.
Finally, none or my sensor systems are really rear looking. If someone is close to FSD interdiction range behind me I'd like an automated change in the guys color on my map at least.
Anyways, I gotta get a load to Yakabugai. That civil war should be drivin' up prices of goods delivered due to the risk of a war zone, but I'm still makin' my flat rate.
