Happy Guests!

I almost didn't think this was possible! not 100%, but 99% guest happiness feels really good :D it IS possible to make a zoo with happy guests it seems :D

This is impressive! The happiness of my guests is also in the dark green, but the single stats are all only between 70 and 80 % (and I'm already very content with that). Did you do anything specific to achieve that number?

Not sure. I make sure that they never walk far to get education (or anything for that matter), I have loads of shops and bathrooms, make sure to have at least two janitors in every area (never have any problem with litter on the ground) and tried to do my best so that no area gets to crouded (had that problem with my previous zoo, where the entrance were to small, so it got very crouded). Only use 10m roads.
Oh, and I have trashcans and benches (both regular and picknic benches) everywhere. There is never more than 10-20 meteres for a guest to walk without encountering a bench or trashcan.

Pathing (the guests are pretty evenly spread thruout the zoo)

Making sure they gets really close to the animals also makes them very happy. So I try to place the sleeping areas close to the guests (and just use one-way glass and no disturb signs for animals that gets easily stressed). (Here you can also see that I even have benches and trashcans by the habitats)

Thank you for sharing the heatmaps! I'm already trying the same things (benches and bins, shops, wide paths and education covering every meter), but it's always helpful to see successful examples :)

It's not an absurd amount actually, I thought it was more :p I only use one kind of food and drink shop (the baseline ones), but all of the souvenir shops. And about 50-60% of my shops are drink shops. I usually have one or two extra staff for each shop area, and all the assigned staffrooms are set to make guests happier (always have one staff room for every shop workzone). Edit: and at least one ATM for every shop area

My staff buildings. I like to work with circles, that way I can hide all the staff buildings in the middle of the circles and have habitats and shops on the outside. Then the staff can work in peace and have close to every habitat/shop, and the guests don't get disturbed by the buildings :)

Edit: I only use the small staff rooms. It's easier to manage I think with different staff perks and the negative area are smaller too

I have also noted that things seem to work better with just one type of food and drink shop in the whole parc, the guests seem to spread more evenly.

Thanks for sharing. Imo the number of shops needed for keeping guests happy is still way to high compared to the size of your zoo. If you add all space up for shops, related staff facilities, power, paths etc. it's about a quarter of the whole zoo space. But that's how the game works (so far).
If you plan to even make your zoo larger, keep us updated if your able to keep your guests happy. My highest happiness rate is 92% with 9.5k guests.

My zoo currently look like this, so yes, I plan to expand quite a bit (will try and get all animals in it). Will keep you updated if i manage to keep my guests happy (it will sertainly be harder when the zoo gets bigger)

Update: My zoo now looks like this;

I've added about 20 more species (more than half of them are exibit species) and my guestcount have gone up from about 6.5k to 9.5k.
The lag have become horribe, but still, the guest happines looks like this!

(I have to add, it doesn't stay at 99% all the time, it changes back and forth from 96-99%, still pretty good) :D

I'm curious: did you ever have a litter problem? And if so how did you manage it? Like my guests are finally happy with their terribly unrealistic amount of shops (and air-conditioned paths...srly show me one real zoo where that's actually a thing >.>) but once I hit about 8.5k guests they all went "bins? What are those? Surely not whatever's standing right beside me..." all of a sudden and keep throwing their litter everywhere, only to complain about it a second later. I never had a problem with it before and have more than enough care takers with and without work zones assigned. So, yeah, it's really annoying and I'd love to hear your take on it if you have any input that might help :)
