Seriously, please give us some ordinary combat CG's. If other games can enjoy infinitely generated content, why can't Elite, since we seem to get near infinitely generated Thargoid attacking stations, rinse and repeat repair job nonsense. How the hell can that even be classed as "narrative". It's an insult to the Thargoids and to them actually being in Elite Dangerous.

Editing this in... I know Thargoids make Elite more interesting and that some people enjoy the bug hunt, so I'm just having a fun rant, but let's be honest, the game deserves something more substantial than some firebugs lighting up stations over and over.

Thargoids are an insult to the concept of an intelligent alien species. As are all aliens that made it to space from any other sci-fi franchise.

How many times in the last 6 months have there been thargoid CZs?

How many human CZs are there at any time in systems with faction wars?

You need to take into account the fact that this is winter holiday season. Nothing important happens during this time in game, so this is just generic event they've made for people to have something to do until Fdev return from their holiday breaks in a week or so.
And as others said, while you can have your regular combat anywhere in the bubbe, AX enthusiast need to have this kind of events generated for them, or they have nothing to do at all.

This is literally the first time in almost a year that Thargoids actually attacked stations and AX CZs are available. If anything, Thargoid content has been severely lacking over the last year.
