Grew up playing Elite on the Acorn all the way through the BBC (Master B!!!
) to C64, even dabbled with Oolite, just want to say i'm happy where the game is now.
Yes there are grinding aspects, repetition and some things i don't like whilst some very good points and a feeling of achievement having earned success against the odds. But enough about my daily job back to ED.
If i wanted a thrill a minute game with no real satisfaction or acheivement, i'd get some PS3 action on, but i enjoy the relaxation and challenge ED gives me, i learnt skills in the original game, even about Logistics that have stood me in good stead since i started having to work for a living. Ideally i'd like a job with no risk and if i messed up work would pat me the head and give me a Bonus for having suffered sadly life isn't like that and neither should this game be....
You want rewards, you work for them, dealing with what every structure or process is in place, if you can improve things for the benefit of everyone suggest it and see how other people feel rather than whinge constantly about how unfairly you've been treated.
Actions and their consequences are important you have to consider the risk and pay the price if the numbers go against you, that's how life works.
Sorry but so tired of all the whinging on here about everything, we can make it great if we all work together in a positive manner, it's called Team work and realism of expectations not having the world handed to you on a plate...
