Hard to do more than one thing at once in VR?

Maybe this is more my problem, as a player who loves the idea of playing the game endlessly but wants to be distracted by other things while I do it. In 2d it's easy - the tv can be running and I can glance over in between jumps or something. The problem is I want the same but in vr, because vr is beautiful and just functionally better. But it's not overly feasible.

Or is it? Anyone else have this issue? For the players that love to multi task while playing, how do you do it in vr? I'm coming back to the game and ideas would be lovely.

If you are using Oculus, the new Oculus Home software includes Dash which lets you pin windows of other apps into your VR cockpit view.

If you want to fully interact with those windows (other than just look at them) you'll need to run ED from the Oculus library.

If you are not using Oculus, I'm afraid I don't know... :)

I sometimes have this issue . For example, doing the 5000Ly to unlock Palin I did on the monitor, but everything else I'm happy to do in VR exclusively. For me it is much more immersive. However, I do tend to listen to the radio, an Elite youtube stream (CMDR Plater or Rusty Dog) or itunes.

In VR I find it refreshing just to live in the moment and enjoy the wonderful galaxy FD have created. It's nice not having my attention pulled away every minute towards something else.

Yeah we live in a generation with an attention span of a fly. It's good for us(healthwise) to focus and give full attention to one thing for some time.

I agree, but at the same time when you're on a 5000+LY honk n' scoop trip it can be nice to have Netflix or whatever on in the background. :D

If you don't have or want touch controllers there is also vr injection software called 'V'.
