Engineers Hardpoints rather than weapons

Not sure how best to phrase this, but I feel hardpoints should be modified as opposed toi individual installations.

It's kinda awkward when, for example, one of your weapons has long range but the others don't, or one of your weapons uses a shedload more power draw but is doing less damage.

I appreciate FDev do not want people simply getting "good rolls" then applying this to every single weapon they may ever encounter in the future, but it is extremely unfeasible and bordering on the ridiculous that identical weapons will have different properties and be treated separately by the engineer.

I would happily pay "number of identical hardpoints" TIMES engineering MATS for the privilege of having the same modifications applied acrsoss the installed weapons.

I just want the option to do batches of weapons.

So instead of having 4 LR mcs with slightly varying speed, i pay 4x the cost and get 4x multis with identical speeds and fire rates

Eh, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. As soon as you or the engineer tinkered with it, it became non-standard (ie custom) and speaking as someone who does custom furniture and motorcycle tuning work I can tell you that once you modify performance identical goes out the window. The best you would be able to hope for is to downtune your better rolled mods to match your weakest rolls (which is how you balance power across all cylinders in a high performance motor for example)

Also brings into question what would you do then for special effects? I like to run a mix of them depending on my build.

Better yet: replace RNG stats with fixed stats. Easier to balance, more consistent results, less and more predictable grind.
