I don't know when they adjusted/tweaked the limpets to be more viable for surface collection (for I've been pretty absent along with the CGs in general) but someone did a pretty damn good job making it work. After SRVing non-stop for the relic CG, there was no chance I wasn't going to attempt to lazy-boat this one while sick. Quite the surprise and happy it worked. (Wasn't really "lazy" though. Certainly more involved than the air approach to meta-alloys and guardian artifacts. )

lots of us were either on are way hoping to get a few days in o well we tried,wrong place at the wrong time.
That really depends on your definitions.
In an absolute sense, no, definitely not - if you go way back to the Dohkwithi Terraforming CG in March 2015 that only had 88 participants which I think is the lowest ever. (It also finished early)
In terms of CGs taking place since the plot restart in 2020 (so with reasonably comparable player equipment, publicity, etc.) there have been six with a smaller turnout.
June 2021: Orion Nebula, Guardian items, Aegis sponsoring, competitive versus Salvation, 294 participants
July 2021: Bubble, Engineering materials, NMLA sponsoring, competitive versus Marlinists, 216 participants
August 2021: Bubble, Combat zone, NMLA sponsoring, competitive versus Marlinists, 157 participants
September 2021: Bubble, Combat zone, Delaine sponsoring, competitive versus some random corporation, 286 participants
October 2021: Colonia, Trade, Brewer/Council sponsoring, Colonia Bridge phase 1, 257 participants
February 2022: Colonia, Trade, Brewer/Council sponsoring, Colonia Bridge phase 4, 358 participants
If you restrict the search to non-competitive CGs taking place within the main body of the bubble then it's certainly the lowest for a very long time.

But I just realized, that the CG was already finished.
On the one hand, realy awesome, that all of you have finished it, but @FDEV cant you at least raise the amount to finish it? So that guys like me can at least participate on the weekend, when we can
Would have love to at least get to 75%. But its okay There will always be a next CG with some goodies.

They have in the past raised the limits where it was obvious the CG was going to finish early* but that generally has only happened during UK working hours.
*They did on one occasion launch a follow on CG on the Friday when the original finished pretty much overnight and I think that one finished on the Sunday afternoon.

Are we about to hit Thursday without Galnet acknowledging that the CG completed?
The acknowledgment generally tends to occur on Thursdays(Thargsdays) after the weekly maintenance. Even in case of an early completion.
