Has anyone attempted Soontill relics at a Thargoid or Guardian site?

Soontill and Thargoids are often associated. Though mostly it is associated with RAXXLA.
Weird connections, the lot. Anyway...regardless of where Soontill hails from (apparently from the planet "Soontill," or, more popularly referred to as RAXXLA?), I think testing a Thargoid site, or Guardian site with one of these relics might be worth a shot. Especially since it's super advanced material from otherwise unknown origins that, according to what I have read in other forums, Thargoids apparently seek for their own advancements as well. I believe I last read of some connection between Thargoid advancements being made with the use of Soontill, somewhere within Col 70 Sector. This would explain any obsessions that I had previously heard, regarding suspicions that Thargoid have also been interested in RAXXLA's whereabouts. Or other suspicions that highly concentrated areas where Thargoids are, also have to do with RAXXLA...whether those suspicions are Polaris, Pleiades, or Col 70 (basically any place we can't yet access lol). I suppose it's only natural for people to believe that content is being written for these currently locked out regions and happens to pertain to the game's largest mysteries.

I've never known FD to unlock a permit locked system, but we can hope. FD has been on record of saying that a human commander has passed through the Raxxla system but didn't scan.

It's a myth. Nobody can find that quote.
It was said to Drew Wagar by David Braben at the launch event so there's no paper trail as such, just the (I feel reputable) word of Drew.
It was mentioned by Drew in the last couple of weeks but I don't have time to fight the search function / sift through hundreds of pages right now!

Permit locked systems are simply locked because they are systems in wich the procedural generation system messed up.
That was true early on e.g Bubble Sector... most of those systems were since unlocked. All permit regions are "locked" for future content, which has been stated by FD previously. And in the cases of Barnard's Loop/Cone Sector etc, there was definitely nothing wrong, as plenty of the now-locked systems have cartographic information about them.

Potentially ones with "security permits" rather than unknown are broken, or maybe they're test systems which FD use... nobody really knows about them.

Had tried some gaurdian artifacts at the sites before. It gets mad. Like... REAL MAD. I had also brought some Soontil relics along as well but they’re a canister and if memory serves sight I couldn’t get them to load into the machine. Coulda just been me tho.
there’s some speculation that soonti isn’t soontil, since there’s no planet matching it’s description and it doesn’t match the description in the books. Also the trash planet from the books seems wrong. The trash planet is mentioned in the description of the system in the galmap but there’s no planets at all in the system. Seems the planets and systems related to Jason Ryders exploit are either purposefully hidden somewhere else or they just messed the lore spots up in the game something crazy.

Maybe they are the systems that future livestreams will be played in, in open... Just to shut up the folk who bleat about players hiding in PG/solo :devilish:

That’s not the thing from Drew. The thing from Drew was the ‘we know where it is and why no one’s been able to find it’. Which was from before release anyway, so doesn’t pertain to the released game.

Drew asked the question in 2015 - post game release I think...

Possible mix up then. The stuff I mentioned was posted Jul’ 2014.

Yeah... definite mix up. If you look through, the link you’ve given it’s related to the quote I mentioned, not the quote which was in question, which was the one about someone having passed through the system Raxxla is on.

True, the 'quote' about someone already visiting the system has been going around since I started playing about 20 months ago, but no-one has 'found' the post to quote it.
It wasn't a dismissal of your comment, incidentally, rather trying to be helpful ;)
