Has anyone ever discovered this?

Has anyone every seen a Water world or a Earth Like Planet orbiting a Black hole? I am just curious on just how drunk stellar forge is.

I think it has, but you have to wonder where the heat comes from. All radiation heat is not created equal, and X-rays and Gamma rays would probably keep the oceans pretty sterile even if they were still warm enough to be liquid.

I'm fairly certain I've found TFC HMC around a Black Hole but no ELW or WW yet. Anything is possible. It's only a matter of time until they crop up!

So says real physics, the Stellar Forge would seem to disagree...

Stellar forge is mostly accurate. They have formulas for habitable zones that apparently take into account the following variables (at least, possibly more):

-The number stars in a system.
-The combined luminosity/heat from each star
-The atmospheric content of the planet (greenhouse vs high albedo gases)
-The age of the star
-The age of the planet, (ie how evolved the chemical composition is, and whether it's cooled off enough since formation)
-Whether the planet is close enough to be tidally locked (on smaller/dimmer stars)
-The geological activity of the planet (how much heat is provided by tidal forces/internal heat)
-The distance of the planet (obviously)
-the mass of the planet (how well it can gravitationally bind an atmosphere)
