Has anyone ever seen an Coriolis Station like this before?

I must have docked at hundreds of Coriolis Stations and never have I seen any that looked like this:

Obviously there are many thousands of these stations around and I have not seen even close to all of them so I was just wondering if other people have seen variations of these stations like this before or is this something new?
Other stations have been noticeably procedurally generated, but I always thought that aside from lighting choices Coriolis stations were the exception.

They've been around since beta. :)

Just do a quick forum search, this particular thread has been made many times in the past week.

We call them noob whackers.

Seriously be careful of you angle of drop out from sc around these, they hurt.

If there are two in the system they play sidewinder tennis a bit like the Atari pong for those old enough to remember it. The bits at the end are where the station sends misbehaving schoolchildren, its the 34 century version of being sent to Coventry.

Ah really? I did a quick search and found nothing, though I must admit I didn't do an advanced search at the time, though doing it now I haven't immediately found anything. Not that I doubt there are posts to this effect, I just haven't seen them.

Thanks for the clarification though :) I just found myself wondering if it was something new or not!

Yup, my first "home" base was one like this. Brani system, I believe. It had well priced palladium last January.
Also, those arms were the cause of my 2nd insurance claim.

Thanks for everyones fast (and entertaining) responses!

First time I found one i parked 1 meter outside the turn radius of the arms and waited for them to SWISH by :)

Yes I did something similar, came out of supercruise on the wrong side of it so waited for one of the arms to pass, I was worried for a second that I had got my positioning wrong and was about to go splat (luckily I'm just bumbling in a Cobra at the moment, not in my Asp so it wouldn't have mattered too much) but it passed just in front of me.
Strange though that they have significantly less variation that Orbis and ... the other ones (their name eludes me for the moment)

I dropped out of SC right under a 'hammer' once.
Luckily I was in my Vulture, so I think the station was worse off.

I also dropped out of SC in the ass end of the other type of station in my Python. They're like ship munchers. Lol
