Has anyone figured out the proper feeding times for carnivores?

I am experimenting how often I should release goats to feed the carnivores in the game. If I go for 8 min (the default) there would be a herd of leftover goats running around, if I go for 20 min or above then the carnivore would starve and lose health, I kinda tried 12 but I noticed that the carnivore would just begin to lose health at times. I am curious if anyone has got the hang of it yet or if there is a guide for goat feeding times per carnivore.

I was wondering the same plus also how feeders work exactly.

I still hadn't got enough time to experiment that much, but reckon paddock space has something to do in the equation too. Have you tried it?

Every dinosaur has a different motabalism rate so if you find out how much food a goat gives the animal then find the metabolism rate of the animal (which varies) you should be able to find what time to dispense the goat.

This is also something that I thought might have effect but I'm currently not that sure.

For everything I could try so far I couldn't make out any difference, though. Maybe with more than one animal per paddock this has some effect.

The problem is paddock space i think. Ive made super large paddocks and will have goats running around all over the place but have my rex start to lose health. It seems like there's no true in game hunting mechanic that lets the carnivores zero in and hunt down living food when they're hungry. So if a goat doesnt happen to be right in front of a carnivore it's hard for them to find it. Carnivores will return to meat feeders, but they need a mechanic where they seek out a goat.

There are, likely, more problems involved, I think. I've also tried to feed my Deinos only goats in sandbox Pena and they got starving to death non-stop until I figured out why. It turns out if you have fights disabled or really lazy carnivores, they won't feed from goats. Obviously, paddock space also plays a role here because there is no hunting mechanic yet, so they would only eat should the predator and prey randomly stumble upon each other but... even when fights enabled, the number of carnivores and the space allowed still makes a great deal, I think.
